Clinical Trial Coordinating Center (CTCC)
of Kitasato University Research Center
for Clinical Pharmacology

Clinical Trials Coordinating Center
In harmony with the other trial groups at the Kitasato Institute, it is our mission to dedicate ourselves for the improvement of human health and the medicine by enhancing quality of late phase clinical trials initiated by researches in Japan. We provide the following support:

(1) Protocol development with ethical consideration and scientific validity,

(2) Quality control of clinical data,

(3) Education for staff members involved in clinical research.

Lately in Japan, to ensure reliability of clinical research, the need for an external data center has been increasing; data management and statistical analysis should be conducted at an independent third party. To meet such needs for investigators outside of Kitasato University and the Kitasato Institute, the CTCC was founded in April 2002 in collaboration with the Division of Biostatistics at Kitasato University School of Pharmacy.

Since then, we have been supporting many clinical trials extensively. Currently the CTCC has two divisions: the “Clinical Trials Coordinating Section” that is mainly responsible for a project management and the “Data Management Section” that mainly manages clinical data and the database. We have a new Electric Data Capturing System and we are ready for communication in English.
