Kitasato University Research Center for Clinical Pharmacology
Following social demands of effective drug for human, this center was established in 1987 based on achievements of the institute in the domains of medicine and pharmaceutical sciences.

The center quickly attained the high clinical trial level that the revised Good Clinical Practice (GCP) requires for assuring ethics, scientific verification and reliability, and it contributes to the society by offering high quality of treatment with the cooperation of sponsors, medical staff team and subjects (volunteer). Phase-I examination, especially, is conducted in three clinics of the center with the total number of 65 beds.

Cooperation with four hospitals of the Kitasato University enables the center to have a system to meet diverse needs. Training for professional staffs including CRC and periodical clinical development seminars are organized to improve the environment of clinical trials.

The center is also engaged in the development of therapy with cultured cells for intractable diseases such as immunotherapy for cancer and treatment of contagious diseases caused by immunodeficiency.
